Ideally, I'm looking for a way to type hexidecimal unicodes into a tex file and when processed, produces a file where (in my case) Korean characters appear (i.e., the HTML way of doing Unicode).

So far what I've found on the web has shown me that the only way of doing it is by 1) finding a way to input Korean characters in your tex file (I used input-ucs-character in Emacs) 2) using the ucs latex package 3) it should work. Well it doesn't and I get a garbled text error which means that the package isn't working.

Does anyone know if this is the only way of entering unicodes into latex?
