    ip addressing question

    hey guys,

when you see something like this: 10.120.0.0/16

what does the 16 mean? does that mean there could be 16 networks or 16 hosts?

It's been forever since i had to do this and i cant remember.

Could you guys help me out?

    16 bits of netmask.

So valid addys would be 10.120.0.0 to 10.120.255.255
