you can put this in your .bashrc
most programs _should_ use -fPIC automatically (at least if they use the gnu autobuild tools)Code:export CFLAGS=-fPIC
I am trying to prelink slackware and i was wondering how i could go about adding the ( -fPIC gcc option ) some where's so everything i compile will be compiled with this option when i say ./configure && make && make install
because when i prelink -a all i get is
( cannot prelink against non-PIC shared library )
and i am about to start rebuilding slack again
if anyone can help that would be great![]()

I only have a root account because 90% of the work i do is in root i have failed to find .bashrc can i just creat a .bashrc file under the root home dir and add the options above to it?
yes, but you _really_ should make a user account![]()
