K3B MP3 support

I just installed K3B and it seems to work fine (even without SCSI emulation. Thanks 2.6!!! )
However, it seems that it won't support mp3 decoding. Whenever I try to make a music cd from mp3 files, it says the format is not supported. I googled around and saw the error on some sites, but no one seemed to know what causes it. I have libmad installed, but I don't know if I am missing anything else. Does anyone know?

What do you have in the "plugins" section of "configure k3b" ???

Ogg Vorbis Decoder, Wave Decoder, External Audio Encoder, Ogg Vorbis Encoder, Sox Audio Encoder

humm I have the same ones and k2b works just fine. I wonder what it could be ??? what version are you using??

I installed a package from Linuxpackages.net.
Perhaps I should compile it from scratch...

I think it was the package. I compiled from source, and it worked.
