    KDE 3.2

3.1.94 to be exact. I just installed it on my SuSe system and it looks great.
A few observations after playing with it for just a few minutes:
    - Fast. Konqueror starts up in a split second.
    - Pretty. I like the new icons. The new cursor launch feedback icon bounces like a rubber ball while an application is starting. Cool.
    - Spell check in Konqueror. As I'm typing this message, misspelled words show up in red.

Can't comment on stability yet, I'm sure there will be some issues until the final version comes out.

Did they change the default theme from Keramic to Plastic?

there's a good likelyhood that there will be no SuSE 9.1, with the Novell takeover and all. I think the next release will be SuSE Linux Desktop (I think that's the name they will ship under) powered largely by GNOME, with a vanilla KDE of some sort on the side.

Mandrake is probably the only major distro left that ships KDE as the default now, 10.0 is on it's way and it has the new KDE already (well a late pre release snapshot but close enough).

Anyways, the new KDE is very impressive in terms of features, I really dig the Plastik theme, it's pretty.

Hmm, the SUSE developers seem to think otherwise, then again what do they know.. It should be out spring! April seems a popular guess.

SuSE and KDE will go on, but now there will be a solid option for Gnome on SuSE as well and much better compatabilty between the two.

Heck, I may even try Ximian when it ships on SuSE.
