Did you try checking your sound levels in the sound mixer??
Hi,
Since installing RH9, the level of my sound is much less.
I have to turn up my speaker volume to the max to even hear it.
I have a SB Live EMU10k1 which was the detected audio device.
The Test sound plays ok...but also at a much lower level.
What / where do I need to upgrade, to get the sound back to normal levels?
Did you try checking your sound levels in the sound mixer??
With that do you mean the Volume Control? (Sound & Video > Volume Control)
I looked at that, played with the sliders...no change to the sound.
humm did you mive the 2nd on on the left near the top??? that worked for me![]()
I'm think so.
My sound is turned up to the max, and it should be pretty much unbearable.
But it's not as loud as it was.
Is this the one you mean?
Yup our settings are the same other then the CD. I havent used these speakers with windows so I don't know if they woul dsound diffrent. If your playing an mp3/ogg in XMMS do you also have the volume turned up all the way??? same with the cdplayer?? also try playing a cd and attatch the speaker cord directly to teh cdplayer, cause I know it would sound loud then.
ok, I tried an mp3, and it was normal...(unbearable loud).
When I played the mp3 I opened the volume control again and put pcm setting to the max.
I worked it out now....I had to put "ogain" and "dig1" up to the max to get my cd players volume up.
