Ok after some reading I think i'm gonna go with the ATI Radeon 9600XT or 1966pro (I dont see the diffrence)

If you get a new HDD, I would recommend a Seagate Barracuda 120GB. I picked one up at the beginning of last year for about $120. Who knows how much cheaper they would be now.

I just grabbed a new card. The FX 5700 Ultras are sweet shit. I got mine for 225, and it has 128MB AGP8x. I got a Gainward.

I'll second Seagate drives. Had an IBM Deathstar..which died on me and replaced it with an 80 gig Seagate.

I'll also second ATI video cards. I had a Radeon 64 ViVo a few years back (aka 7200) and am now running a 9600 Pro. Diff between XT and Pro are XT is clocked slightly higher and the ATI made cards supposedly come with a voucher for HL2.

I got a GeForceXF 5299 and it works great. But I cant get a new HDD cause I don't have enough $$ left lol but the card works GREAT!!
