    IP address??

    Does anyone know where i can get a free IP address from that will work so people can download from my server?? I tried http://www.whatsmyip.net and that didn't work. Someone else even tried that IP i got from that site and it didn't work for them either. They got the page didn't display or something. Thanx guys for any help..

    You already have an IP. Sounds like you need to pass in traffic for what ever server you are using. Find a post by Mojo Jojo and it will tell you your IP.

    This is what i did. I click the search button on top and put in The Great Mojo Jojo and select from the drop down search by someone and it found no of his posts. I don't even know what the hell i'm looking for.

    Derek,

    If you connect to the internet, you already have an IP. Without one, you could not connect to the internet.

    If, under Windows, you open a command prompt and type ipconfig, it will tell you your ip address.

    trickster,

    When i tpyed ipconfig into the run box it opened up a box with a black screen and it flased real quick that i didn't see anything.

    Windows NT/2000/XP:
    Start -- Run -- type cmd -- type ipconfig

    Windows 9x/ME:
    Start -- Run -- type winipcfg
